This second session will run on Sunday October 11th 2026 (with a review and discussion session on Sunday 25th October)

Our popular glaze-making workshop with Glenn England is back! Explore the fascinating world of glaze chemistry and learn how to mix and create your own glazes using line blends and standard glaze materials.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn:

• Types of glazes

• What makes up a glaze

• The role of each material

• How to weigh and mix a glaze

• Colourants and opacifiers

• Creating a line blend with colouring oxides or stains

• Dipping test tiles and keeping glaze records

After firing, we’ll come back together to review, discuss, and share the results of our glaze tests.
