Teapots are often considered the ultimate potter’s challenge—both fun and technically demanding. Join renowned ceramic artist Linda DeToma for an immersive two-day workshop where you’ll master the intricacies of designing, throwing, constructing, and finishing a functional and beautifully crafted teapot.
What You’ll Learn:
- Session 1: Throwing the components of a teapot (body, lid & spout) with expert guidance. Linda will also demonstrate different forms and shapes, sparking ideas for your teapot design.
- Session 2: Trimming, assembling, and constructing the teapot into a cohesive, functional piece. Linda will guide you through the techniques to ensure your teapot is both technically sound and aesthetically pleasing.
- Bonus: Linda will provide tips on how to effectively glaze your teapot. You can then glaze your teapot at a later date once bisque-fired.
